About PUG

PUG was activated on May 9th, 2016 by Dr Phillip Reese and Professor Carmine Fasano. It uses quantum-mechanical phenomena such as superposition and entanglement to perform computations. PUG is self aware and makes use of DeepQA software and the Apache UIMA (Unstructured Information Management Architecture) framework implementation. The system was written in various languages, including Java, C++, and Prolog, and runs on the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 operating system using the Apache Hadoop framework to provide distributed computing.
